Last weekend the Spanish Trial Championships were held in the town of Azuqueca de Henares, province of Guadalajara, a very important event in the trial calendar. Tarrés went with the Catalan team. A total of 10 riders including cadets, juniors, elites and females.

Tarrés says that when they went to see the sections they saw that they were of a world cup final level, so they should have to work hard to finish the sections. Under a scorching sun, the elite 26 final started at 6:30 p.m.. A total of 7 riders took the final, and in one hour they finished the 5 sections and 2 laps.

In the first round, Tarrés finished with 15 points, 3 fives and 2 zeros. Tarrés was very happy for the two zeros he did in section 1 and 3 since they were two quite complicated sections. Still, he told us that he had made an error in one of the easy sections and he could not finish it. The provisional classification at the end of the first round placed him in the highest position of the podium, followed by Sergi Llongueras, with 18 points.

In the second round Tarrés could not improve his result and finished with 17 points. Finally Llongueras made a very good second round and finished with a total of 31 points against Tarrés' 32.

I’m not very happy with the second place since I’ve made some very silly mistakes that I should not have made. Even so I value positively the action that I have done since the zones were very complicated and I have been able to take out zone 1 both times without penalizing a single point. Congratulate Sergi, as she has done a very good second round and deserves it. Although I could not revalidate the title of last year, I am happy because it is a good result for the next international competitions.
